The Story

Gravy train meets the crazy train in the first ever stage musical tribute to Toronto’s infamous Mayor Rob Ford. The media, the police chief and the city itself are not off limits in Toronto-based writer Brett McCaig’s latest musical comedy.

Rob’s wild ways ruffle the feathers of Toronto’s ruling elite who join forces to take him down. With a little help from his spiritual guide, Rob embarks on his own personal journey to find redemption and the true meaning of leadership. But will he discover what it means to be a good Mayor before it’s too late?

We follow Rob’s rise to stardom with the mysterious gawker video and the scandals that took Twitter and Youtube by storm.

In true Canadian form, this an unabashed, take-no-prisoners comedy tackles the issue head on, through irreverence and fearless self-deprecation. With songs that include ‘It’s Good to be Gay!’ and ‘Ford Nation F* You’, this time Torontonians will apologize for nothing.
